Why I’m Hosting a Local Watch Party for a Virtual Event—and Why It Matters

Virtual events are efficient, scalable, and packed with great content.
But let’s be honest—they can also feel disconnected.

We register with good intentions, tune in alone, and maybe… catch the replay while half-distracted.

That’s why this week, I’m doing something different.
I’m hosting a local watch party for one of the biggest virtual gatherings in the event industry: Eventastic.

Why a Watch Party?

Because virtual doesn’t have to mean isolated.
Because real momentum comes from shared energy—even if the content is on a screen.

I’m inviting a small group of entrepreneurs and event creatives to join me at Collective 615 on Thursday, June 5, for a few hours of connection, learning, and intentional co-working.

We’ll:

  • Stream key Eventastic sessions

  • Share coffee, snacks, and swag (thanks to the Eventastic team!)

  • Co-work between moments of inspiration

  • Let ideas and conversation flow in real time

The Bigger Picture

This isn’t just about one watch party.

It’s a reminder that we can turn virtual moments into community catalysts—anytime, anywhere.
All it takes is:

  • A screen

  • A shared space

  • A little intention

Whether you lead events, build communities, or just want to bring people together more intentionally, local watch parties are a powerful way to bridge the digital and the real.

A Nudge to Local Leaders

If you're a city leader, entrepreneur, or creative professional—this is your sign:

Don’t just attend the next big virtual event. Host it. Share it. Build something around it.

Bring people into the room.
Create a space to engage, reflect, and get things done—together.

Because presence isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up in ways that matter.

And that? That’s always relevant.

And if you’re curious about how to do this in your own city, let’s talk. I’d love to help you bring it to life.
